<Initial Conditions>

1. We set the temperature of the surface at 298K and one grid with 1km in all cases.

2. We set WRF Urban Surface Options as Urban Canopy Model, and set WRF Land Surface Options as Unified Noah Land Surface Model.

3. We analyzed urban in half an hour for 24 hours.

- Case1_size of urban

 The size of three types of cities, which are divided by the size of real cities in Korea, is set at 900㎢, 400㎢, and 100㎢. Therefore, the city's width is allocated 30 grids (30㎞), 20 grids (20㎞) and 10 grids (10㎞). In this case, only the size of the city is taken as a variable, so the suburb is set at 80 grids (80㎞) in total, with 40 grids (40㎞) equal to each side. Since Korea is made up of more than 70 percent of mountainous areas, the exterior is selected as Mixed Forest.

- Case2_Residential density

 We will look for heat island phenomenon according to residential density in the city. Considering that the average residential ratio in the city is 30%, thirty out of one hundred grids will be applied with Landuse option 32(High Intensity Residential) and 31(Low Intensity Residual), respectively, and the remaining seventy grids will be set up as 1(Urban and Built-Up Land).

- Case3_Location

In this case, we will compare heat island phenomena occurring in coastal and inland areas. The total number of grids will be set to 100, the 20 grids will be Landuse option 1(Urban and Built-Up Land) and the remaining grids will be set to 15(Mixed Forest) and 16(Water Bodies), respectively.

- Case4_Distribution of green area

Lastly, we will compare the difference between heat island phenomena according to the distribution of grass land in the city. The first will be set as 6 grids grass land in the middle and 14 grids cities on both sides. The second will place 14 grids in the middle as city and a total of six grass land on both sides.
